Drone use on Madeira’s hiking trails is subject to aviation, nature-conservation and local restrictions, and you should not assume that you can fly a drone simply because a trail is open. Some protected or sensitive areas may prohibit or restrict drone flights, and additional permissions may be required. Always check the current ANAC and IFCN rules before flying, and never operate a drone in a way that endangers people, wildlife or other hikers.
